“Traces of Fire”

Solo Exhibition of Andreas Nikolaidis

On Tuesday, November 22, Gallery “7” presents the solo exhibition of Andreas Nikolaidis entitled “Traces of fire”. With the use of fire, the artist comes closer to today’s world and the suffocating emotions of modern megacities.

The artist comments on his work:

“Man today is in a hurry in the cities.
He runs through the streets without looking around.
With a head bowed, lost in time, in fear, terrified.
This terror, this fear is transformed into creation,
into my understanding of the world.”

Andreas Nicolaidis was born in Cyprus in 1988. In 2007 he was admitted to the Athens School of Fine Arts and in 2012 he graduated from the First Painting Workshop with Angelos Antonopoulos as his Professor. Since 2012, he has been working as a teacher in the public and private sector in general and special education. He has taken part in several painting competitions and group exhibitions.
